We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to become a permanent member of our project delivery team to provide health & safety expertise.

Your opportunity:

We are looking for a HSE Officer to assist in the delivery of our various projects across NSW for Ertech.

As the HSE Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Project Manager to deliver all WHS&E related activities.
  • Undertaking necessary inspections, completing safety observations and conducting safety audits.
  • Maintaining HSE specific compliance records, documents, and data.
  • Provide administrative support in the preparation of reports on the HSE performance against objectives and targets set through data compilation.
  • Recognising, promoting, and encouraging safe work behaviours.
  • Be the first point of contact for any HSE related queries, before escalating to the Project Manager
  • Preparing and coordinating HSE material for pre-starts, toolbox talks, and other HSE related meetings.
  • Perform HSE inductions as and when required for new starters.
  • Promote safety initiatives and safe work method statement.

Whilst technical experience is of importance to us, it is also critical that the successful candidate have the following:

  • Degree or certificate in Work Health and Safety.
  • Working knowledge of New South Wales Work Health and Safety legislation.
  • Working knowledge of New South Wales Environmental legislation related to civil construction.
  • High level of communication, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to organise workload and priorities.
