ABOUT US

Ertech is a proudly employee-owned Australian civil and electrical construction company, delivering high-quality services across the Transport, Infrastructure, Resources, and Defence sectors. We partner with clients in both the public and private sectors, including state and federal governments. Since our humble beginnings in 1981, we’ve built a strong reputation for the quality of our work and the long-term relationships we foster — all driven by our core values of collaboration, courage, and authenticity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting an experienced Plant Hire Coordinator to join our team in Wangara, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating a high volume of heavy machinery and equipment hire across our Western Australia projects, as well as managing associated logistics.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Hire Management: Process incoming hire requests, complete hire agreements and contracts. This includes managing the on-hire and off-hire documentation and procedures.
  • Logistics Coordination: Organise the transport, delivery, and collection of equipment to and from various sites, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Fleet & Asset Management: Monitor plant usage and equipment hire trends, to assist management with plant procurement decisions, track equipment movements, and manage the live asset register and hire desk. The coordinator works to maximise internal plant use before sourcing externally hired options.
  • Maintenance & Compliance:  Assist with the coordination of maintenance, servicing, and repairs of externally hired plant and equipment, working closely with workshop teams or external contractors. This is crucial for ensuring all equipment meets safety standards and legal requirements.
  • Supplier & Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal project teams, external clients, and third-party suppliers to negotiate the best rates for the business and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Administration & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, process invoices, raise purchase orders, and generate reports for management regarding plant availability, utilisation, and costs.
  • Tender Submissions: Support the Pre-Contracts team by preparing and providing project plant hire quotes for tender submissions.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Experience coordinating high volume plant hire across multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction plant, machinery and attachments.
  • Understanding of transport compliance and safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with plant or asset management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and negotiate rates.
  • Valid Australian working rights.
