ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join our NSW team supporting our long-term TfNSW Transport and Infrastructure projects.

As the Project Manager, you will be reporting to Operations Manager and you will be responsible for responsible for leading the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. You will oversee project performance across safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes, while coordinating project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered efficiently and in line with client and contractual requirements.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time and within budget. Provide clear direction to project teams and coordinate resources to maintain project momentum and performance.
  • Manage project planning, scheduling and financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, variations and reporting, while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and communication remains clear and effective throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee subcontractor engagement and procurement activities, ensuring works are delivered in line with contractual requirements, quality standards and project timelines.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, legislative requirements and HSE procedures across all project activities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and high performance while driving continuous improvement across project delivery.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • 7–10 years’ experience as a Project Manager (including TfNSW experience) delivering major construction projects.
  • Hold a Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering and possess a strong technical background as an Civil Engineer.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing self-performing teams.
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
