ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent full-time position based in our Head Office in Wangara, Perth.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager - Electrical

to join our dynamic Operations Electrical team. You will be responsible for successfully delivering complex projects safely, on time and on budget, to clients. The Project Manager will lead the project team to meet contractual and legislative obligations and maximise profitability, in alignment with company values and procedures.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leads and completes projects from beginning to end
  • Manages project start-up, maintains construction schedule and ensures effective handover
  • Takes ownership of all commercial aspects of project, understands the implications of team’s work practices on the profitability of project, and considers the impact of costs on decisions and changes
  • Actively seeks to understand clients and other stakeholders and their needs relative to projects, and creates long term loyal relationships
  • Acts as a role model and proactively assesses situations to identify potential problems, and anticipate and prevents the impact of ripple effects from seemingly simple issues
  • Creates an environment that supports continuous team learning, creates opportunities for on-the-job learning, and facilitates continuous improvement within project teams
  • Identifies capability requirements to deliver long-term strategy, growth of sustainable capability and the objectives of future clients
  • Demonstrates sound understanding of conditions that affect HSEQ

 

ABOU YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Electrical Trades Certificate
  • 3 years of previous experience as Project Manager
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring and developing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Exposure in various types of electrical construction installation projects – LV, HV etc.
  • Industrial relations management knowledge
  • Design and construct experience
  • Client & Risk Management
  • Procurement and supplier management
  • Ability to interpret, implement and improve established engineering processes and procedures
