ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for experienced Workshop Stores Person to join our workshop team on Barrow Island.

This role reports to the Workshop Supervisor your responsibilities would include but are not limited to;

• Manage incoming parts, tools and consumables including receipting, inspection and storage.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and carry out routine inventory checks.
• Issue parts and equipment to workshop personnel.
• Keep store areas organised, clean and safe.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections with other store staff.
• Assist mechanics with general maintenance and repair tasks.
• Carry out light and heavy vehicle tyre repairs when needed.
• Prepare tools, parts and materials for upcoming jobs.
• Perform basic mechanical duties such as servicing, lubrication and cleaning under supervision.
• Operate workshop equipment including trucks, light vehicles, forklifts and hoists.
• Maintain a tidy, safe workshop and follow all OH&S requirements.
• Support daily servicing and refuelling activities as required.

ESSENTIAL RQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLES ARE.

• Drivers Licence HR
• Forklift Licence
• Computer literate, MS Word Suite with experience using inventory systems
• Prior workshop or stores experience
• Physically capable of safe manual handling of heavy items
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and AOD screening.

ABOUT BARROW ISLAND SITE

Barrow Island, located approximately 60 kilometres from the mainland and 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier, is home to Chevron’s Gorgon operation and WA Oil operations and hosts Western Australia’s largest oil and gas field.

On-site accommodation is excellent, offering meal services, gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms for men and women with various fitness classes), and sporting amenities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, two swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts, and a cricket pitch.
