ABOUT Barrow Island

Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over 10 years.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent full-time position on Barrow Island, 2:1 FIFO roster

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Supervisor - Electrical to join our dynamic team.

You will be responsible for supervising medium-sized HV/MV cable installation projects to be delivered on time. The Supervisor will assist in leading the work onsite to ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources in accordance with operation procedures which include safety, environment and quality standards.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Coordinate and supervise a team of electricians and electrical subcontractors.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard of quality.
• Work with our electrical and civil engineering team.
• Analyse and resolve electrical issues that may arise.
• Assist with planning, preparation and completion of construction tasks.
• Ensure equipment condition is monitored and maintained to a high standard.
• Accurately record all construction activities, progress reports to team leaders.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• 3+ years experience in similar industry.
• Moderate-high level of experience in supervising teams (10-30 staff).
• Relevant electrical construction industry experience.
• Demonstrate heavy machinery cable installation experience.
• C Class Driver’s License.
• WA Electrical License.
• HV cable installation experience.
• Gas Test Atmospheres.
• First Aid Certificate/CPR.
• Good understanding of requirements in project contracts.
• Cert IV Leadership and Management.
