The Duratec-Ertech Joint Venture (DEJV) is a specialist Defence infrastructure delivery partnership with a strong track record in delivering major infrastructure works at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia’s premier naval base. Building on this experience, DEJV has been engaged to deliver several significant infrastructure projects supporting AUKUS, representing a once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity to contribute to Australia’s future Defence capability.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our Duratec-Ertech Joint Venture (DEJV) supporting our long-term major infrastructure construction scopes in Rockingham, WA.

This role will lead project controls across complex infrastructure projects, providing oversight and supporting decision-making through forecasting, performance analysis and risk management.

The person appointed to this role will be employed by Ertech and seconded to the Duratec-Ertech Joint Venture.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Initiate a complex program, setting up the roadmap for long term delivery success
  • Driving effective planning, monitoring, and reporting processes
  • Ensuring the seamless integration of project management principles, risk mitigation strategies, and cost control measures
  • Supporting operational leaders when required in addressing clients’ commercial, controls and procurement requirements

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • 7-10 years experience in a planning and commercial role
  • 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven proficiency in project controls methodologies, including earned value management, risk analysis, and change control processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to navigate intricate project challenges
  • Experienced in implementing, promoting and developing a variety of planning techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance (essential)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance (essential)
  • MUST hold relevant Australian work rights.
