ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent full-time position based in Ertech head office in Wangara, Perth.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to assist in the management of a long term civil and earthworks maintenance contract with a diverse scope that also includes service installation, buildings, camp upgrades, electrical and mechanical works.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and controlling of the project specific requirements whilst adhering to strict safety conditions.  The project is well established and you will be joining into an existing team.  The ability to manage a diverse team and management of change is key to this role.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Effective and profitable management of all aspects of the project.
  • Lead project start up activities including contract negotiation, management plan development, team recruitment and project initiation
  • Leading the project team to complete assigned projects in accordance with contractual documentation.
  • Maintaining and establishing client relationships and developing work winning opportunities.
  • Project programming, cost control, quality control, procurement, contracts administration, supervision, general site administration and the activities of sub-contractors.
  • Project resourcing as it relates to people, plant and equipment
  • Lead, manage and coach an experienced construction team of staff professionals
  • Drive a culture of safety excellence centred on self and others
  • Lead and effectively manage client engagement and key stakeholder relationships

 

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role within civil or resources industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
  • Proven financial, risk, commercial, contractual skills.
  • Proven performance on successful projects varying in project value.
  • Ability to instil a safety-first culture.
