ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join our project team on Barrow Island.

As the Senior HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for minimising the occupational risks and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation in conjunction with Ertech standards and procedures.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Lead the development, monitoring and achievement of the HSE objectives
• Responsible for project capability in hazard identification and risk control
• Management of incidents/injuries, incl. reports, agreed recommendations, return to work programs and workers compensation
• Ensuring compliance with HSE procedures and implementation and manage corrective actions
• Improving processes in line with safety and environment law
• HSE reporting: rolling 12-month lag results and lead indicators (developed and reviewed with senior management)

ABOUT YOU

You will have 10+ years’ experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Experience in civil infrastructure
• Thorough knowledge of safety management systems and princliples and relevant legislation
• Management of injuries, return to work programs and workers compensation
• HS Auditing Systems

Qualifications for this position are:

• Diploma OHS
• Certificate IV TAE
• iCAM or equivalent

ABOUT BARROW ISLAND

Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over 10 years.

Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch!
