ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our Procurement team in Wangara, WA.

As the Procurement Officer, you will be reporting to Procurement Manager, and you will be responsible for providing project and office support relating to procurement and purchasing with a particular focus on commercial and contract management. 

Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review, negotiate, and draft supplier agreements to ensure optimum commercial outcomes and risk allocation.
  • Provide guidance on contractual terms and conditions, including pricing, service levels, warranties, indemnities and liabilities.
  • Identify and manage contractual risks and opportunities, supporting internal stakeholders on commercial decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with legal, commercial, finance, and project teams to ensure contracts are aligned with project and corporate objectives.
  • Administer, maintain, and renew supplier contracts, supporting continual assessment of vendors for best value and compliance.
  • Support development and implementation of procurement management frameworks, contributing to policy improvements and compliance checks.
  • Assist in procurement of goods and services at project start-up and during ongoing operations, with continued focus on contract integrity and supplier performance.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Procurement Officer working within civil construction industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen and sound understanding of contracts and procurement processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of drafting and negotiating supplier agreements, including terms, conditions, and risk allocation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Experience using the Felix supplier management system (highly regarded).
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights.
