ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Controls Manager to join our team in Wangara, WA.

As the Controls Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate planning, cost control, forecasting, and reporting across our major projects.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead project controls across cost, schedule, risk and reporting, ensuring accurate forecasting and budget management.
  • Oversee weekly and monthly project reporting, maintaining consistency across business units.
  • Support Project Managers and Finance with budgeting, cashflow forecasting and financial performance insights.
  • Monitor project risks, trends and variances, recommending corrective actions where required.
  • Maintain strong governance and internal controls, ensuring compliance with policies and audit requirements.
  • Drive improvements in reporting systems, data quality and process efficiency, including ERP and BI tools.
  • Mentor and support the project controls team, promoting accountability and data driven decision making.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide performance insights and influence business improvement initiatives.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project controls, financial management, or corporate governance within the civil construction, engineering, or resources sectors.
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting, and reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process improvement or system implementation projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in scheduling software e.g. P6, MS Project.
  • Understanding of contract conditions, risk management, and value engineering principles.
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights.
