ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Community Relations Graduate to join our NSW team supporting our long-term Transport and Infrastructure scopes.

As the Community Relations Graduate, you will be reporting to Communication Manager. You will gain real hands-on experience within the construction industry and receive training and mentoring to provide growth within your role.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, businesses, property owners and community stakeholders impacted by construction activities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for community enquiries, logging and responding to feedback in line with project communication standards.
  • Support the preparation and implementation of Community Engagement Plans and related compliance reporting.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing community notifications, project updates and stakeholder communications.
  • Support the coordination of community information sessions, stakeholder meetings and site visits.
  • Work closely with project teams and subcontractors to gather project updates and translate technical information into clear community communications.
  • Identify emerging community concerns and escalate issues to support timely resolution.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Media, Planning, Social Science, Environmental Science or related discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences
  • Well-organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; experience with database, CRM or stakeholder management tools is an advantage
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearence
  • White Card - CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
