ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team supporting our new project in Onslow. Ertech has recently been awarded a Fire and Potable Water infrastructure upgrade to the Port of Ashburton. These activities are part of the Ashburton Foundation Water and Fire Water Project which is part of several foundation projects currently undertaken to address improvement and renewal of existing infrastructure and facilities in the Port of Ashburton to accommodate the expected growth of trading in the port.

As the Senior Project Engineer, you will report to the Project Manager and lead the project team to achieve deliverables, meet contractual obligations, and maximise profitability, while upholding the company’s safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Take ownership of assigned work, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Plan and manage resources, tasks, and priorities to support efficient project delivery.
  • Apply commercial awareness by assessing costs, risks, and opportunities to make informed decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, responding proactively to their needs and expectations.
  • Solve complex issues and implement practical solutions that deliver positive project outcomes.
  • Lead and support the team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance, inclusive work environment.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Experience in firewater and potable water installations, including small radius HDPE pipe and blue brut PVC.
  • Proven experience in the design, supply, and installation of desalination plants, including subcontractor management and commissioning.
  • Hands-on experience with trenching, backfilling, hydrotesting, and project handover/commissioning.
  • Previous work on WaterCorp projects, commercial developments, subdivisions, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearence
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
