ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Front End Loader Operator to join our team to support the Mitchell Freeway Concrete Barriers Upgrade. This will include the removal of existing barriers and replacement with new concrete barriers on the Mitchell Freeway between Ocean Reef Road and Hester Avenue. Work scope includes associated pavement works, services protection, and required significant rail safety management.

As the Front-End Loader Operator, you will be reporting to the Civil Supervisor, and you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating mobile plant for civil construction activities, including material handling, loading, stockpiling, and earthworks support.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Operate Front End Loader safely and efficiently to support concrete barrier installation and civil construction activities.
• Load, transport, and stockpile materials including sand, gravel, spoil, and construction aggregates.
• Assist with site preparation, groundworks, material placement, and general earthmoving tasks.
• Support concrete barrier works by preparing work areas, managing materials, and maintaining access around active work zones.
• Carry out daily pre-start inspections and report any faults, damage, or safety concerns.
• Work closely with supervisors, labourers, truck drivers, and other plant operators to maintain productivity.
• Maintain safe operating practices when working around traffic, mobile plant, and construction crews.
• Load materials into trucks, hoppers, or containers as required.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• RIIMPO321F (Conduct civil construction wheeled front-end loader operations)
• White Card
• HR Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
• MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
