ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in our Wangara Head Office supporting our DEJV (Duratec x Ertech Joint Venture) Defence project.  

As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for responsible for providing financial and administrative support to the organisation by processing, verifying and reconciling supplier invoices.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage accounts payable processes by monitoring open purchase orders, invoices, supplier statements, processing payments, and ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, including completing month-end tasks when required.
  • Responsible for high volume supplier invoicing.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships by responding promptly to supplier enquiries, communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating to resolve issues and achieve shared business outcomes.
  • Prioritise and deliver work efficiently by managing competing priorities, following established procedures, investigating and resolving problems, and consistently meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and continuous improvement by promoting a safe and inclusive workplace, taking ownership of personal performance, seeking feedback, supporting team success, and maintaining a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Tertiary Qualification or Cert IV in Accounting/ bookkeeping (desirable)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearence.
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearence
