ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor (Electrical) to join our Resources team supporting our Civil and Electrical Construction scopes at Barrow Island.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading site-based electrical construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will supervise and mentor site personnel, coordinate daily construction activities, manage subcontractors and collaborate closely with engineering, project management and client representatives to achieve successful project outcomes.

ABOUT BARROW ISLAND

Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over 10 years.

Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch!

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Supervise electricians, apprentices and trade assistants across multiple project scopes.
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee daily construction activities to ensure project milestones and schedules are achieved.
  • Promote and lead a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with permit systems, safe work practices and company procedures.
  • Ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards, including QA/QC inspections, testing and associated documentation.
  • Mentor, coach and provide technical guidance to apprentices and less experienced tradespeople to support their development.
  • Liaise with engineering, QA/QC, project management and client representatives to facilitate the successful delivery of projects.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction issues to maintain productivity, quality and project programme commitments.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a supervision role.
  • Experience across Electrical Construction and Maintenance scopes within Mining & Resources.
  • WA Electrical Workers Licence.
  • CPCWHS1001 Construction White Card.
  • LVR / CPR – within 1 year.
  • First Aid – within 3 years.
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to obtain a Police Clearance.
