ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planner to join our Resources team, supporting the long-term Civil and Electrical Construction scopes from our Wangara office. Occasional travel to site will be required.
As the Planner, reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be supporting Project Managers and responsible for the delivery of planning and project control requirements.
Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop, maintain and regularly update detailed construction programs across multiple Resources Division projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and delivery requirements.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Commercial and Cost Control teams to monitor progress and ensure programs accurately reflect current and planned works.
- Monitor actual progress against baseline programs, identifying delays, critical activities, risks, constraints and potential impacts to project delivery.
- Prepare regular program updates, look-ahead schedules, progress reports and forecasts, while supporting project teams with planning, sequencing, coordination and recovery strategies.
- Provide planning and scheduling support across project reviews, client reporting, management meetings and tender submissions, including construction methodologies, sequencing and program development.
To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction, Project Management or related discipline.
- 3-5 years’ experience in construction, resources, mining or infrastructure planning.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or equivalent planning software.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining detailed construction programs.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, productivity and project controls.
- Experience in progress measurement, forecasting and project reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance.
- Valid Australian working rights.
