ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be operating excavators across a range of civil and subdivision works, working closely with the drainage and civil crews to deliver underground infrastructure and earthworks.

Your day-to-day work may include:

• Operating excavators safely and productively across subdivision works
• Excavating trenches for stormwater, sewer and water services
• Digging around existing and live underground services
• Trimming trenches and working to levels and grades
• Assisting with pipe laying, pits, manholes and drainage structures
• Backfilling and general earthworks
• Reading and working from construction drawings and service plans
• Working closely with Drainer, Drainer Offsider, Supervisors and other operators
• Completing daily pre-starts, equipment checks and site requirements
• Maintaining a high standard of safety, housekeeping and workmanship

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an experienced operator who knows what he is doing!

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience operating excavators in civil construction
• Experience working on subdivision development projects
• Experience with drainage, sewer and water infrastructure
• The ability to dig accurately to levels, grades and specifications
• Experience working safely around underground services
• A strong understanding of site safety and civil construction practices
• Construction White Card
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Relevant plant tickets and competencies
• Full Australian working rights
