 ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Civil) to join our Resources team, supporting the delivery of Civil and Electrical construction scopes on the Wheatstone NRU Thermal Oxidiser (TOX) Project.

As the Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil construction activities, providing technical and project support while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements, schedule and budget.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate daily construction activities to achieve project scope, schedule and budget requirements.
  • Develop and monitor construction programs, key milestones, productivity and critical path activities.
  • Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure works meet project and design requirements.
  • Prepare methodologies, ITPs, SWMS and other engineering documentation.
  • Manage RFIs, design clarifications and technical queries with relevant stakeholders.
  • Forecast labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements.
  • Identify project risks, constraints and potential delays, implementing mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Verify quantities, completed works and progress claims.
  • Support project reporting, documentation and contractual deliverables.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil construction project delivery.
  • Experience delivering works within brownfield industrial or resources environments.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete, foundations, earthworks and underground services.
  • Experience in contract administration and commercial management.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6 and project management systems.
  • Construction White Card (CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry).
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
  • Valid Australian working rights.
