As the HSE Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing guidance and support across all project related HSE matters including risk mitigation, incident management, injury and return to work management and coordinating reporting, pre-start's, toolboxes, workplace induction and HSE training packages to ensure continuous improvement
  • Monitoring construction activities to minimise workplace risks and providing advice to ensure compliance with HSE Management Plans, WHS legislation and Ertech standards
  • Ensure the company meets the necessary legislative obligations and drive the continuous improvement of health and safety throughout the company.
  • Understand and drive improved health, safety and environmental risk control across the supply chain and be a key driver to implement HSE strategy.


Whilst technical experience is of importance to us, it is also critical that the successful candidate have the following:

  • Degree or Diploma qualified in Work Health and Safety (essential)
  • Preferably (But not mandatory) a minimum of 2 years previous HSE Officer experience preferably within construction industry with familiarisation of heavy plant and machinery
  • Working knowledge of HSE practices and current WHS legislation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and engagement skills
  • Flexibility to work across metro, DIDO and FIFO projects
