ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Resources team supporting the long-term Civil Concrete Construction scopes on Wheatstone.  

As the Senior Project Engineer, you will report to the Project Manager and lead the project team to deliver key outcomes, meet contractual obligations, and maximise profitability. You will also ensure all activities are carried out in line with the company’s values and operational procedures, including safety, environmental, and quality standards. The scope of works is a civil and concrete scope with various foundations required to be installed with detailed backfill and reinstatement.

ABOUT WHEATSTONE            

Wheatstone is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland near Onslow and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s WHS Project. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Projects for over 15 years.

Wheatstone provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch!

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Take ownership of assigned project scope, delivering outcomes in line with Project Management Plans, company procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Plan, resource, and coordinate tasks systematically, managing multiple competing priorities to meet critical deadlines and project objectives.
  • Monitor and manage commercial performance by understanding cost impacts, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting the Project Manager with reporting and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively responding to needs and ensuring delivery within budget, contract requirements, and quality standards.
  • Lead problem-solving and decision-making by applying analytical thinking, addressing complex challenges, and implementing solutions that drive positive project outcomes.
  • Foster a high-performing, safe, and collaborative team environment through effective leadership, coaching, HSEQ compliance, and a commitment to continuous improvement and development.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor Engineering)
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in relevant industry
  • White Card
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
