ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for experienced Carpenters to join our project delivery team on Barrow Island.

This role reports to the Civil Supervisor your responsibilities would include but are not limited to;

• Completing strip-out and demolition works in bedrooms, bathrooms, and plant rooms
• Modifying walls, ceilings, floors, bulkheads, and door openings to suit HVAC plant installation
• Installing framing, infill walls, and bulkheads, including preparation for fire-rated finishes
• Installing and reinstating Fyrchek, acoustic linings, and fire stopping systems
• Supporting structural steel works by preparing openings, set-outs, and reinstatement works
• Working within an operational camp facility, maintaining cleanliness, access control, and dust management
• Undertaking work at heights using EWPs, ladders, and fixed access systems as required
• Coordinating closely with electrical, mechanical, and structural trades to maintain program flow
• Completing reinstatement and finishes to a high standard suitable for re-occupation

ESSENTIAL RQUIREMENTS FOR THESE ROLES ARE.

• Full Australian Working Rights
• Trade-qualified Carpenter or highly experienced building tradesperson
• White Card and a strong safety mindset
• Experience working in live or occupied facilities (camps, buildings, etc.)
• Confidence reading drawings and working to defined scopes
• Experience with fire-rated construction systems (Fyrchek / fire sealing) preferred
• Comfortable coordinating with multiple trades and supervisors
• Ability to work methodically in controlled environments

ABOUT BARROW ISLAND SITE

Barrow Island, located approximately 60 kilometres from the mainland and 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier, is home to Chevron’s Gorgon operation and WA Oil operations and hosts Western Australia’s largest oil and gas field.
