We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team leading multiple, complex projects of different sizes and specialties. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple project teams to deliver successful project outcomes safely, on time and within budget. 

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee multiple projects start-up, construction schedule and handover phases
  • Provide direction and clarity of project objectives to project leaders
  • Ensure project teams are accountable to delivering project targets with efficiency and effectiveness, and of consistently high standards
  • Take ownership of all commercial aspects of projects at hand, and ensure project targets are delivered across the portfolio of projects
  • Manage competing demands between projects without compromising quality, efficiency or quality
  • Makes effective and decisive decisions in a timely, informed and evidence-based manner

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • 15+ yrs in project management - within the civil / infrastructure / defence sector
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
  • Ability to adapt to change rapidly and to meet client expectations.
  • Strong people management skills - lead teams and bring people together to develop a culture of high performance
  • Strong commercial focus/background is needed.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels to achieve outcomes
  • Ability to prioritise in order to meet very high workloads
